What does Regulation (EU) No 65/2014 require?
Regulation (EU) No 65/2014 requires household ovens and range hoods placed on the EU market to carry an energy label. Suppliers must register products in the EPREL database.
Online retailers must display the energy label and product information sheet near the product price.
Who needs to comply?
This regulation applies to household ovens (including built-in ovens) and range hoods sold to consumers in the EU. It covers online and physical retail.

What must online retailers display?
Online retailers must make two documents accessible to customers near the product price: the energy label and the product information sheet (fiche). Both are provided by the supplier via the EPREL database — retailers do not need to create or assemble this data themselves.
The energy label for household ovens and range hoods includes the following information:
- Energy efficiency class for ovens (A+++ to D scale)
- Energy efficiency class for range hoods (A+++ to D scale)
- Energy consumption per cycle in kWh (ovens)
- Usable volume in litres (ovens)
- Fluid dynamic efficiency class (range hoods)
- Lighting efficiency class (range hoods)
- Grease filtering efficiency class (range hoods)
- Noise level in dB(A) (range hoods)
- QR code linking to the product's entry in the EPREL database
The product information sheet contains further technical details and is available for download in all 24 official EU languages via the EPREL database.
